Apprenticeship as a Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Specialist in Civil Engineering

With over 100 million cubic meters used annually, reinforced concrete is the most important building material in Germany. Concrete is used in a wide variety of projects—such as the construction, renovation, or modernization of train stations, bridges, and industrial facilities. Would you like to roll up your sleeves and help build something great? Then the 3-year apprenticeship as a concrete and reinforced concrete builder (m/f/d) is the right choice for you!

As a concrete and reinforced concrete specialist (m/f/d), you’ll support our Major Projects/Civil Engineering division in Großbeeren. Here, challenging structures such as bridges, train stations, signal boxes, and pedestrian underpasses are built. You’ll independently carry out skilled concrete and formwork construction tasks and be responsible for reading and implementing formwork and reinforcement plans as well as drawings.

What you’ll learn during your apprenticeship
  • Building Construction: After the first two years of your apprenticeship, you’ll already earn a certification as a building construction specialist (m/f/d).
  • Hands-On Experience: In your third year of apprenticeship, you’ll begin advanced training to become a concrete and reinforced concrete construction worker (m/f/d). You’ll learn many practical skills at the inter-company training center and gain hands-on experience on our construction projects. Here, you’ll practice the proper use of tools and construction machinery, deepen your understanding of work processes, and expand your theoretical knowledge.
  • Concrete and Steel: Under the guidance of your colleagues, you’ll build formwork and pour concrete, for example. This is how you construct large-span structures, such as train station concourses and railroad bridges.
  • Teamwork: Our experienced SPITZKE training team is always there to support you as you tackle your diverse range of tasks.
You should become a concrete and reinforced concrete specialist (m/f/d) if you…
  • have a secondary school diploma or a higher-level qualification, or are about to earn one.
  • enjoyed technology, sports, and geometry in school.
  • have manual dexterity, an interest in technology, and spatial awareness.
  • enjoy pitching in as part of a team.
  • prefer working outdoors rather than in an office.
  • enjoy traveling, love variety, and can imagine working in different locations.
